READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP Rubber Soul STEREO First Pressing 1965 NM Vinyl, A1/A5 Early Plates!

From the very first plates used, this copy was undoubtedly in the stores on the first day of release.  Vinyl looks brand new.

Vinyl--- NM/ Excellent.  Side 1 looks unplayed, Side 2 has one extremely light line at the 12 o’clock position that you won’t see unless you’re looking under a bare bulb.  Could have easily been listed as a NM album all around. Exquisite piece of vinyl.

Plates--- A1/A5.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside make this a Scranton copy.

Cover--- VG+ cover.  Top seam and spine are muscular-strong, however, the bottom seam has a center split about 3 inches long.  Light ringwear to the front cover, light dirtwear to the back.  Not bad at all.

Labels--- NM/ NM.  These labels look 1965-day one brand new.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.  In fact, the labels are so early that you can clearly see some black ink bleeding from the label into the rainbow on each side.

“The Beatles” is missing from both labels, making this copy the first-printed labels.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original olive green company Capitol inner sleeve is present and in Excellent condition.  NO SPLITS.  Nice, flat and razor-sharp corners.  NO WRINKLES. NO RECORD OUTDENT AT ALL! The only issue is that the bottom seam has some white wear.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 2

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
