PLEASE NOTE:  I was contacted by enough of my regular customers who had mentioned that they preferred that my listings end on Saturday nights, rather than Sunday nights.  Let’s try it.

Beatles LP Sgt. Pepper 1967 First Pressing in Shrink Jacksonville EX!

Vinyl---  Stunning EX!  Each side shines like brand new, with the exceptions of one or two extremely minor imperfections on both sides.  They weren’t there at the pressing plant (or the “mint”), so I can’t call this LP NM.  Others would.

Plates--- X4/ X4.  Jacksonville pressing has the letter “O” hand-etched on side 1, machine-stamped on side 2.

Cover--- Excellent cover.  Shrinkwrap has dulled a little, protecting the cover beautifully.  Two breathe holes on the front cover.  Bottom left corner has a split in the shrink, resulting in a little shelfwear in that area.  Slight dirtwear to the top edge and down the cover’s mouth, small push-ins at corners.

Bottom right corner of the back cover has the “Mfd. By Capitol Records, Inc. disclaimer, rather than scrolling up the side of the spine, making this a first-run cover.

Peering into the gatefold with my Smartphone flashlight, it appears never to have been opened since June 2, 1967.

Labels--- NM.  Second-run labels on first-run pressing has “WITH a Little Help from my Friends.”  NO spindle marks.  Labels look 1967-brand new.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Gradient red inner sleeve is present.  Excellent condition.  Just slightly dulled over time, and that’s all.  NO seam splits.  Crease caused by improper insertion into the sleeve at the pressing plant.  Very tiny tear in the center of one side.  VERY tiny.

Insert--- Very nice.  Some minor creases to each side, otherwise flat and razor-sharp.  Bold colors.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
