THE BEATLES - 'LADY MADONNA'/'THE INNER LIGHT'
1967 UK *DEMONSTRATION* 45
This extremely rare disc is a 100% genuine DEMONSTRATION 45 which pre-dates slightly its official March 1968 release date. These specially pressed discs were distributed in a very limited quantity to DJs and press persons only. Very few genuine examples survive today, especially in this condition.
This NEAR MINT example bears GENUINE green demo labels with a large white 'A' on the 'Lady Madonna' label: R 5675
Both labels also carry the wording 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD - NOT FOR SALE' & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.
The disc's official release date '15.3.68' is also printed in the centre of each label.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is stamped around the centre of 'The Inner Light' label & in both run-outs.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18438-3 & 7XCE 18439-2
Stamper codes: 1/AT & 2/GT
The disc is housed within an original '7/3 to 50' green Parlophone company sleeve.

A perfect clean & unblemished pair with just a single faint spindle mark around each completely unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are, apart from a single light surface mark on side 1, 'as new'. Even close examination directly beneath my unforgiving powerful halogen desk lamp fails to reveal any other marks or wear whatsoever. Both sides of this pristine disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: NEAR MINT
Massive unworn sound from this barely, if ever, played copy. Both side have silent run-ins and no hint of groove/play-wear or background noise to any part of either song. You will not need or be able to upgrade this incredible disc.

EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some age-toning to the rear panel but no major faults.
