UK Box Set PXS 1
You are bidding for a rare and highly sought after beatles box set that was not available to buy in the shops but was only available by mail order. It is totally complete with inner book tray and tray holder which normally, due to there flimsy design, get very badly damaged.The complete box set is in remarkably good condition and this is an excellent example of this Beatles collectors item.
Description
- Box outer- Excellent
The box retains its full gloss lustre and is not flattened or creased.
The inscription on the rear of the box indicates a very early example with the wording "Patents Pending".
- Inner album sleeve (red apple) = Very good
Some minor creasing and slight signs of wear to the opening edge, but otherwise a great example of this rare red apple sleeve.
- Vinyl = Excellent
Gleaming vinyl with no surface marks, scratches or spindle wear.
Inner tray = Very good
Complete and sturdy with some minor creasing, fragile as they all are,corners are crisp and overall very reasonable.
- Book tray = Very good
In great condition overall, although it has had some small repairs to the reverse side (see picture) where the corner has become torn.
"Get Back" book = Excellent
The "Get Back" book in this set is absolutely superb, the pages are flat and like new; a really stunning example!
