UK 1962 1st PRESSING 45

This is one of the earliest possible copies of their debut 45 and is a UK 1962 1st pressing on the red & silver Parlophone label: 45 R 4949

Both labels OMIT the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text but have 'Ardmore & Beechwood' publishing credits.

A 'ZT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre hole of the 'Love Me Do' label

'ZT' codes are also stamped into both run-outs.

This disc itself is housed within it original 'beach-striped' Parlophone company sleeve.

Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N

Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/M

CONDITION

Labels: EXCELLENT

An extremely clean & vibrant pair set with just a hint of wear to the centre holes but no visible spindle trails around either.

Visual: VERY GOOD

Both playing surfaces are clean & bright but do display several surface marks and the occasional light scratch - none of which are deep or 'feelable'. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals numerous harmless wispy paper-type hairlines, but nothing major.

Play: GOOD

This copy has been played many times and the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated. Both songs play with surface noise but without any clicks, pops, jump or repeats.

Clean, flat & bright just a light disc impression from storage but no seam splits, writing or tears.
