PARLOGRAM AUCTIONS presents...

THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'

This earliest UK 1st stock pressing of their debut single dates from initial October 1963 release.

This disc is identifiable as one of the very first copies off the press from its 'JR' stamper codes* - usually only used on demo copies.
It is on the red & silver Parlophone label (45-R 4949) both of which include the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text.
A 'WT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label.

'ZT' codes are stamped in both run-outs.

Matrices: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N

*Stamper codes: -/JR & -/JR

The disc is housed within an original 'coloured diamonds' Parlophone company sleeve.

CONDITION

Labels: VERY GOOD +

Both are bright and unworn with a small number of spindle trails around each centre hole. Both labels have initials written on them.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with the only visible blemish in strong daylight being a light 1.5cm non-feelable surface mark on 'P.S. 'I Love You'. Closer inspection directly beneath halogen light shows up only some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines.

Audio: VERY GOOD +

This historic disc plays has received a moderate amount of play. Some light vinyl background is audible on both sides, but no major issues.

Cover: VERY GOOD
