1962 UK *1st PRESSING* 45
**SUPERB, LATE RED LABEL ISSUE**
This EXCELLENT 1962 late 1st pressing is on the UK red & silver Parlophone label: 45-R 4949
Both labels carry 'Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd' publishing credits and 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
Both labels include the the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text.
Unusually for this pressing, the 'KT' tax/price code is embossed on the 'Love Me Do' label.
(The 'MPZT' is stamped in one run-out & 'PZT' in the other.)
Housed in an original 'coloured diamonds' Parlophone company bag.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N
Stamper numbers: 1/RD & 1/GPM

Very clean & bright with some light spindle trails but no marks, writing or missing paper.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean, bright & high-gloss surfaces undulled by groove-whitening from overplay or improper handling or storage.
Some light sleeve removal marks & paper hairlines are visible directly under a halogen dek lamp, but there are no heavy marks or scratches.
Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Full, clear & warm sound on both sides with no heavy groovewear, crackle or other significant deterioration to the sound.
There are a few light ticks on the 'A' side run-in but not on the music which plays without clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or repeats on both sides.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
