Description
Offered here is the album that started BEATLEMANIA in America Meet The Beatles Capitol ST 2047 released January 20 1964. This particular variation is the first West Coast STEREO pressing with 1 BMI on the song I Want To Hold Your Hand. Due to the fact that the first label variation ( without publishing credits) of this lp was solely produced on the East Coast, the second label ( one BMI credit ) pressed in Los Angeles, is therefore the very first pressing of the album on the West Coast. Furthermore, on page 19, of Bruce Spizer’s CAPITOL ALBUMS BOOK, he states the fact that the stereo variation of this label style should exist, but as of press time, it was not confirmed. The album is at best VG+ maybe VG++ with some scuffing with VG++ maybe better labels. The cover is in VG++ maybe better with minor wear, no splits, no spine wear, no writing whatsoever, BEATLES is in olive green print, does not have the Produced by GEORGE MARTIN credit on the back, and has the #6 and the STEREO needle damage info at the bottom of the back cover is also evident, also it comes with it’s original royal blue inner sleeve as well. So if you’re looking for this scarce pressing or just becoming aware of it for the first time, its here!
