Description

Due to the irreplaceable nature of this piece, we
are not offering Media Mail as the first shipping option.

We VPI Machine-cleaned both sides:
Vinyl looks EXCELLENT (VG++) and we play graded
both sides all the way through.
The sound is also EXCELLENT with no skipping,
no pops or clicks. There's some very faint random
surface noise mainly audible between songs,
and just barely audible on a few quiet sections,
or intros and outros.
The highs are crisp. This sounds GREAT in MONO!

This is the early "Jacksonville" mono version of
Magical Mystery Tour with "MAL-X-1-2835"
and "MAL-X-2-2835" matrix numbers
PRINTED on the labels, see photos.

Original issue with ("No You're Not" said Little Nicola)
under the "I Am The Walrus" title inside the gatefold
sleeve in block print, and not cursive as with the
later pressings.

Capitol rainbow label with
''MFD. BY CAPITOL RECORDS, INC. U.S.A.'' in the
bottom rim, to the left of the T. M., the Capitol logo,
and the rest of the usual, standard boilerplate wording.

Issued in a gatefold cover with a 24-page stapled booklet
glued inside. The Outermost folded sheet page of the
booklet is glued properly to the back panel.
The staples are still holding the rest of the booklet together,
but the stapled connection to the outer pages is ripped,
see the close-up photos.

"O" stamped into the dead-wax denotes this was
pressed at Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Jacksonville.

Spine: Capitol 2835 Mono
Back Jacket: MAL 2835
Labels: MAL-2835

The gatefold jacket is VG+ with minor corner wear,
and very minor corner bumping.
The spine and seams are intact (NO seam-splitting).
There's a very small, quarter-inch section of
missing rear-lamination near the middle of the rear
opening edge, see the photo.
The outer laminates have light shelf-wear.
The inner laminates have light yellowing near the
edges, but these laminates and the booklet pages
are in otherwise excellent condition.
