TONY SHERIDAN AND THE BEAT BROTHERS
It is with great pleasure (and more than a little bit of excitement) that I offer for auction my personal treasure, an original first pressing of My Bonnie, by Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers, aka THE BEATLES. This record, of which only about a dozen are known to survive, is the most sought after 45 in the world. This 45 was to be released in the US by Decca in April 1962,but the release was canceled, apparently for lack of interest. It would be nearly two years before fame would strike the Fab Four
This is an absolutely stunning record. The vinyl is nothing short of amazing. It shimmers like glass, like a mirror. It shows no evidence of play or mishandling. The A-side has two faint marks of about a quarter of inch and the B-side has one of about half an inch. Other than that both sides are NEAR MINT, shockingly bright as they glisten. The A-side label has writing in thin black marker as you can see from the picture. It doesn't obstruct either the song title or artist at all. The B-side label is beatfiully near mint.
The important "45 DGG66833A" and "45 DGG24673B" are machine stamped (not etched) into the A- and B-side trail-off areas.

I have had bidders ask why I start all my record auctions at $5.00 with no reserve, even with extremely rare and valuable records. I believe that auctions should be true auctions, with the high bidder always winning the item. Secret reserves make no sense and frustrate buyers, so I don’t use them. And I believe that buyers will understand the value of the records I sell and will bid accordingly. I have sold sealed Beatles butcher LPs and original near mint Elvis Presley Sun 45s this way .... $5.00 opening bid and no reserve!
