Description
From what I can gather, this version of the album issued on Capitol Records in the USA and imported by EMI is quite a rare item. It carries a red and gold sticker on top right of sleeve saying "Specially Imported by E.M.I. Records".
It was later transferred to the Apple label. The transition can be seen on this item, as the record has the rainbow Capitol label, but the sleeve carries the Apple logo on the inside of the gatefold.
The sleeve is in very good condition, with a little wear around the edges, but I've kept it in a plastic cover for most of its life. The inner booklet is complete and in excellent condition, but is detached from the sleeve, apart from the last two pages. It has a "Stereo" tag stuck on top right corner, put on by my friend, the one previous owner (in 1967!).
The label credits are very unusual:
ON SIDE 1 credits are given to ASCAP, ON SIDE 2 credits are given to BM!.
HISTORY
This is a early pressing MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR LP as released in the USA on the Capitol label. The Sleeve is in very good condition, the booklet is fully present, the vinyl only has two things to mention which detract it away from the highest of gradings.
Released at the tail end of 1967, this album came at a time of high productivity for the Beatles (who were now at their creative best) but were also struggling to come to terms with the loss of Brian Epstein and the subsequent tussle within the group. The album highlights everything that was great and fun about the Beatles whilst also containing some of their most extraordinary pieces of recorded music and lyrics.

SLEEVE CONDITION
The Gatefold sleeve with booklet appears in very good condition The only thing to report is that the booklet is detached. Slight wear only around the edges.
INNER SLEEVE
The original black inner sleeve appears here in good condition - free from handwriting, a little worn around the opening.
LABELS
Very good condition, slight spindle marks when viewed under bright light.
VINYL
Under bright light the vinyl is very good, with only light scuffing. One apparent scratch across tracks 1, 2 and 3 on side 1, but not discernable audibly on my hifi, playa well.
