Beatles -Magical Mystery Tour LP Original 1967 with shrink EX+ UPGRADE

This auction is for a fantastic copy of The Beatles 1967 LP "Magical Mystery Tour" on Capitol Records (SMAL 2835).  This is the original "black/rainbow" label version, and you would be hard pressed to find another copy in a condition such as this!  This album appears to have rarely ever been played and the condition is EX.  The sleeve only shows only the slightest binweasr you can imagine from storage, but it is extremely minor.  This album isn't very far from appearing brand new, in almost every regard.  I also playtested it and was very pleased with the results.  Read on for my full description.

The Vinyl:

The vinyl doesn't look to have been played very often at all as far as I can tell.  There are only a couple of the most minor sleeve scuffs or "hairlines" (extremely light surface lines caused by the record being moved around in its sleeve) and other superficial items of no real importance.  Even a sealed copy can obtain hairlines over the course of time, but this LP has managed to only receive a couple and they are very minor, and not affecting playback.  The vinyl has attracted quite a bit of dust, but seeing as I don't have the proper equipment to clean it at this time, you will want to do this as soon as you receive it. This is your chance to hear this record almost as if you had just purchased it.  The record is in a very special condition not found very often.

The Cover:

As you can see from the pictures, the sleeve of this record appears in excellent condition, as it has been protected by its original shrinkwrap.  By no means does this look like something purchased 47 years ago.  This is the original gatefold cover which has never seen the light of day, as gatefold can't be opened due to the shrinkwrap.  The colors don't appear faded, and are still very vibrant.  There are 2 minor corner bumps and a few tiny bumps on the lower edge. Not particularly noticeable, but I want to be as thorough as possible. The inner sleeve is the original plain white one which looks excellent, if not a little less than white now, due to age. The shrinkwrap itself is a little wrinkly (as shrinkwrap tends to be when opened), includes price tag from original 1968 purchase on back corner. The shrinkwrap is doing a wonderful job by preserving this LP sleeve perfectly.


Overall this LP is a great find for any collector, and a real treat for a true Beatles fan.  If you already own this LP, the copy offered here would more than likely be an upgrade.  The cover is in excellent, so close to near mint condition, and the vinyl is in a very special condition for an item from this era.  Good luck on the bidding, as you may never find such an amazing copy of this LP ever again!
