Paul McCartney "Uncle Albert//Admiral Halsey" ORIGINAL 1977 UK 1st Pressing RED " Regal Zonophone" Labels!!!!

Released in April 1977!!!! This single Never charted!!!!

This was Not really counted as an "Official" single!!!!!

This Is Paul McCartneys Rarest Ever "UK" Single Release!!!!

Less than a month after the excellent chart topping "Ram" album was released Paul felt the need to Re-Record the album as an "Orchestral Version"!!!! The resulting album "Thrillington" was Not even issued under his own name but as one of his many "Pseudonyms" Percy "Thrills" Thrilington"!!!! Not only that but it was Not even  released until Six Years after it was recorded!!!!

Issued alonside the album was the One and Only single to be taken from it "Uncle Albert". Both the Album and the Single were released on the EMI "Regal Zonophone" Label and Neither recieved hardly any Publicity or Airplay!!!! Also the fact that "Percy Thrillington" was "Paul McCartney was NEVER promoted. Hence neither the Album or the Single charted in the UK and sales of Both were Incredibably Low!!!!

Although the album "Thrillington" does sometimes surface for sale the single just Never, Ever does and is considered the "Rarest" and "Hardest" Paul McCartney UK single release there is to obtain!!!!

This particular copy is even Rarer because it has a "FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE" sticker on Side Two: of the Label!!!! These were only ever given to Record Executives, Promoters and Radio D J's to help Push the sales of the records!!!! As this Single had a relatively Short Run on the Press I can only assume there were Less than the usual 500 singles on a normal "Pressing Run" that were produced with these "Factory Sample" stickers!!!!

The Matrix, Mother and Stampers are:

Side One: EMI-2594A-1. On the run out grooves are the letters A and number 2. The name Blair is also etched.

Side Two: EMI-2594B-1. On the run out grooves are the letters A and number 1.

CONDITION:

The Centre Labels to both sides are in "Great" condition. Though when held up to a strong light there are some very small traces of Spindal Marks present on both sides but NONE that even remotely spoil their overall look!!!! They are both Spotless and Clean and all the lettering is Perfect with no signs of Rubbing!!!!

The Vinyl still retains that Gloosy Look and has clearly been Well looked after which is reflected in the playback. There are a few marks showing on the Vinyl when held up to a bright light (though many of these have been caused by handling). There are no Pops, Clicks or Jumps anywhere!!!!!!!! I play graded this on a Linn lp12 Sondek through a Linn System (which is very unforgiving) and the Playback was "Excellent"!!!! The record lays perfectly Flat with no Warping!!!!

Overall the Labels and Vinyl must grade as at least Excellent+!!!!

SLEEVE:

The Vinyl is housed in it's ORIGINAL EMI "Regal-Zonophone Company Sleeve!!!! There are no Rips, Tears or Writing anywhere to be seen!!!! There are some Very Light signs of Creasing which is to be expected considering it's Age and Flimsy construction!!!!

I would easily grade the Sleeve as Excellent!!!!!

So here we have a Brilliant, Rare and Original UK Paul McCartney "Regal-Zonophone Label" Rarity!!!!
