Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING

This item is a rare first press mono album released in January 1964 on Capitol Records by The Beatles entitled ‘Meet The Beatles’. This particular record has the rare Capitol Records label that has no BMI or ASCAP credits on the labels themselves. This is the first and rarest mono label variation of the ‘Meet The Beatles‘ LP. Record label and number is Capitol Records ST 2047. It is speculated that about 20,000 copies were distributed of this album with these labels. Record itself is in VG to VG- condition with many light hairline marks but plays better with minimal surface noise (mainly between songs). Record has 1 skip on the song ‘Don’t Bother Me’. Record still has decent gloss and shine. Record labels are in very nice condition with very light wear (see photos). Record cover is in very good condition with flaws being some light wear, a crease in the cover near the upper left corner and right upper corner and a 1 1/2 inch tear on the spine near the top of the cover (see photos). Still overall pretty nice considering its age. No ‘George Martin’ credit on the back of the cover and the number 3 is by the RIAA logo. Original 1964 Capitol Records inner sleeve is included. These mono no BMI or ASCAP copies of this classic album are hard to find in any condition and a great addition to your Beatles collection! Will fill a nice hole in your collection until and if you can find another copy of this rare mono label variation.  No reserve and low opening bid. Money back if not satisfied. Feel free to e mail with any questions. Payment is expected within ten business days. I combine shipping rates on multiple purchases. Records are shipped in cardboard mailers and are well packed. Overseas postage is $14.00 Postage to Canada is $8.00 Good luck with your bids.
