Description

Selling 5 rare Beatles Mono LP. 4 LPs are Parlophone UK pressing and 1 LP is a Japan pressing.

Normally I prefer listening to stereo. This said, in the 1960s, recording gear may only have 2 tracks unlike today multi tracks, so the early stereo recordings may end up with all the instruments on 1 side and the vocals on the other side, resulting in a strange sound stage. During these times, mono recordings present greater immediacy and presence and I find this true of some of the Beatles mono recordings.

Besides, if you into single ended triode (SET) and high sensitivity speakers like Altec or Klipsch, you should listen to a mono recording, just like SET maestro Sakuma-san.

With the EMI Parlophone LPs, I have put them in audiophile sleeves but you will also have the original EMI paper sleeves.
