This is a PROMOTIONAL ISSUE. At the top right corner of the front cover is gold-foil embossed printing that reads:

As you probably know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were ONLY released by record companies to the radio stations and DJs for on-air play. They were produced in very small/limited quantities and were NOT made available for sale to the general public; therefore, many promotional records are particularly hard-to-find these days and have become highly sought after by vinyl collectors and fans of certain recording artists/bands.

Capitol Records only marked the cover to identify the LP as a promotional issue. Capitol did not mark the labels on the vinyl as promotional and instead placed a stock copy of the vinyl inside the promotional-marked cover.

The VINYL IS NEAR MINT.

The GATE-FOLD COVER is NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) with just some very light wear on the rear of the cover keeping me from grading it Near Mint.

The vinyl comes in a thin poster-board GLOSSY INNER SLEEVE that is NEAR MINT with song lyrics printed on both sides.

The front cover has a striking image of Paul and Linda. The rear cover states that George Hurrell took the photo using the same box camera he used in Hollywood in the 1930s. It’s not surprising that Linda, a notable photographer herself, would want to have this vintage photographic touch added to the LP.

The rear cover also states that “the images in the centre spread [gate-fold] are stereo drawings made by Paul to pin-point the positions, during mixing, of sounds in the stereo picture”.
This is a VERY NICE Paul McCartney PROMO RECORD to add to YOUR vinyl collection!
