Description
Very first UK press of Ram by Paul & Linda McCartney
The matrix numbers are YEX 837-1 and YEX 838-1
This copy has the correct first press inner and also the Northern Songs credit on the labels (later 1971 pressings had different credits)
For it’s age the fully laminated gatefold sleeve is in beautiful condition – just the slightest touch of rubbing at the corners.
It has the first press inner sleeve with "Important Notice Copyright Exists in Apple Recordings....etc." printed on both sides. This too is in excellent condition, just a little creased, but no splits which you don’t usually find.
Visually the record looks in brilliant shape, really nice shine with, to the naked eye, hardly a mark to be seen (only one I saw was a light mark on track 4, side 2). Nice clean labels with no damage around the spindle holes, I have not played it for years but the last time I did I noted that it played through immaculately. I didn’t mention any crackle when last played, as I normally would, but, for selling purposes, I’ll add that you may get the odd spot of ultra light crackle here and there.
A marvellous example of a very first press that you’ll find hard to beat.
UK only please - will be sent signed for in record mailer with stiffeners
