Please Please Me

Original 1963 Mono LP

Parlophone Black & Gold Label

PMC 1202

33 1/3 RPM

XEX 421-IN & XEX 422-IN

M T print around spindle

Sleeve printed and made by Ernest J.Day & Co. Ltd London

Original EMITEX Inner Sleeve in excellent condition

A very scarce and highly collectable Beatles LP in very good condition. The vinyl is in very good condition and both sides play and sound very clear.

Side one of the vinyl looks like new and you’ll find it hard to see any marks on it even when held under a bright spot light.

Side two has a ring around the label as can be seen in the picture and some scratch marks, one which goes across the side but the tracks sound perfectly clear  with just a small jump at the end of “there’s a place” on side 2.

There is very little spindle ware and the label has MT imprinted around the spindle.

The outer sleeve lets it down a bit as previous owners have had cellotape along the edges which has left some marks but is the original sleeve. The inner sleeve is the original Emitex sleeve and is in very good condition and a nice clean off white colour without any browning which is unusual for age.

The record comes with an added bonus of a copy of the rare Parlophone insert showing a list of all the records available at that stage in 1963 and the first record on the list is Please Please Me. Not many of these inserts have survived and are now very hard to find, they were only available with early black & gold Parlophone releases and not the black and yellow or black and silver releases.

I have tried to be as precise as possible with my description but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I will only post with insurance and signed for by Royal Mail if in the UK. I will send worldwide but buyer will need to pay the cost of P&P outside the UK.
