Description

Beatles Please Please Me Gold 1H stamper 1950’s pressing machine PMC 1202 Rare.

This is the rarest of the Beatles 1st pressing mono gold albums. It is pressed on one of the 1950’s machines that were brought out of storage because of the demand in preorders for this album.

Usually seen on mid to late 1950’s albums - this has the rounded ridge at the edge of the labels.

-1H Matrix numbers on both sides of the vinyl.

These turn up very rarely and are extremely collectible.

This copy has a decent cover with no major damage. No writing, stickers or tears - just the usual corner and edge wear. Some slight damage to the flipback. You’ll see in the pictures it’s better than most advertised.

The labels are excellent with light wear around the spindle - it’s not been over played. The gold is still extremely bright and clear. The labels are not rubbed and there are no stickers or writing.

The vinyl surface is also very clean with only light marks. No deep or feelable scratches. Some light hairlines but the sound quality is generally excellent. The occasional dust pop and a skip on misery, that could possibly be fixed. This is the only problem with playing on the whole album. Otherwise the sound is loud and clear. Bright sound. It’s a rare survivor of this very rare pressing.

This is the rarest variation of this album - only a handful have ever been sold on eBay.

Not to be confused with the much more common flat labels or slight ridge on one side. This is a rounded edged label with a very deep ridge both sides.

Earliest version.

Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.

Many thanks.
