Beatles Please Please Me New Zealand Blue Parlophone Rarest w/ Original Inner


This is a New Zealand Mono pressing on the Blue Parlophone label and is easily the rarest of all the Blue Parlophone LPs (PMCM 1202). These rarely turn up.


Matrix No’s XEX 421 / XEX 422 are machine stamped in the run-off on either side


Record sleeve is a three-tiered flipback sleeve. The record sleeve is in Good condition only. A piece of the rear flipback is missing having been torn off (about 5cm) and a tear about 2cm square on the rear sleeve affecting the script back cover. On the plus side, the spine is all intact, legible and clear while the front cover colours are still vibrant and belies the defects described. The rear sleeve has "Made in New Zealand by HMV" on the rear sleeve. There is general wear to the sleeve and a name written on the back.


Record is in Fair to Good condition with numerous superficial surface marks visible. However there are no deep marks and and the record plays with background noise. Still a good solid piece of vinyl.


Importantly, both labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers, tears, etc though clearly in used condition. 


The original inner, displaying period advertising of the day, is included. However, this is also torn and best described as in Fair to Good condition.
