The Beatles - Please Please Me
(Parlophone PMC 1202 UK LP 1963)
This is a UK original 1963 Mono UK LP pressing. In fact it is the first UK "yellow & black" Parlophone pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve (Garrod & Lofthouse). It has a large "Mono" on the front. It comes with its original polythene-lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve. This is in VG+ condition.
The record has yellow & black Parlophone labels. They have "The Parlophone Co..." text but does not have the "Recording First.." text. The "ZT" tax code is stamped around the spindle hole on Side 2's label.
The matrix numbers, & mother stampers, are as follows:
Side 1: XEX 421-1N (AL 2)
Side 2: XEX 422-1N (AP 1 2)
This is the earliest yellow & black Parlophone UK pressing. Still with the "ZT" tax code. These are quite rare!
Sleeve: There is a small 1" tear in the bottom right corner on the front. There is some mild to moderate moderate fading, & some light staining, to the rear. There is a 3" seam split at the bottom middle edge. VG condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild to moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is one very light hairline mark. There is also one more noticeable, but light, 3" mark on Side 1. VG condition. There is a small sticker on Side 1's label. Otherwise mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays VG+ to Near Excellent. There is some very light crackle in some quieter places.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.50 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £8.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
