The Beatles - Please Please Me
(Parlophone PMC 1202 UK LP 1963)
This is a 1963 UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large "Mono" on the front. It is printed by E.J. Day. It comes with its original polythene lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve.
The record has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Parlophone Co.." text. They do not have the "Sold in UK..." or "Recording First.." texts. It has 1st press XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-1N matrix numbers. The mother stampers are MR 1 and MP 4. The "ZT" tax code has been stamped around the spindle hole on Side 2's label.
This is the first UK pressing with yellow & black Parlophone labels. It still has the earliest matrix numbers. These are not that common.
Sleeve: There is a some moderate rubbing wear to the top left corner tip. There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the other three corner tips. There is a 1 cm seam split at the bottom edge/ corner tip at the sleeve opening. There is some light to mild fading/ staining on the rear. There is some light to mild ringwear too. VG condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is one quite long, & very light, hairline mark on one side. There are 3 tiny 1 cm & 0.5 cm marks on the other side. VG condition. The labels are clean and show mild spindle wear only. Plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places. The Emitex inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There are no seam splits.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
