The Beatles - Please Please Me/ Ask Me Why
(Parlophone 45-R 4983 UK 7" 1963)
This is a UK original 1963 7" pressing. The record has red Parlophone labels. These have "The Parlophone Co...." and "Recording First..." texts. It has 1st press 7XCE 17217-1N and 7XCE 17218-1N matrix numbers. The mother stampers are GL MPT 1 and GG MPT 2. It comes with its original company paper sleeve. This is a genuine UK 1st pressing with the earliest matrices & mother stampers.
Vinyl: Mild to moderate sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. There is about 6 light hairline marks. These measure from 1 cm to 2.5 cm in length. These are primarily on the B-side. Good+ condition. The labels are clean & show mild spindle wear. Plays VG overall. There is some light or mild crackle which is noticeable in the quieter places.
The company paper sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to very mild ringwear & creasing.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
