THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This EXCELLENT UK STEREO pressing of their debut album dates from mid-1963.
It is on the 3rd variation of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3042
An 'MKT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper codes: 1/L & 1/M
Vinyl weight: 170g
Housed in a front laminated 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover with large front 'stereo' indicator.
Complete with its original poly-lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve.

Visual: EXCELLENT
Audio: NEAR MINT
This well-looked after, great sounding disc has received only a moderate amount of careful play on good equipment and bears no significant visual or audible faults. Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with the only visual blemishes being a couple of light fingernail scuffs on each side, but no scratches or any other marks. Audibly it sounds clean & clear throughout with no trace of any groove/player distortion in either channel on any track and certainly no clicks, pops or other such distractions.
Tough to find in anything approaching this condition, this early 'E. J. Day' example is clean, strong & fully intact. The front panel bright & glossy with some light storagewear rubbing, a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle towards the opening edge and small bend towards the upper left corner being the only significant signs of use. The corners are unbumped with minimal rubbing to the tips and both opening edges are clean & undamaged. The rear panel is clean & bright with again light storagewear but also unfortunately bears the original owner's name & number written in black felt-tip pen - without that, we would grade it 'EX+'. All of the delicate flipbacks are still intact and both seams and the spine are smooth with no flaking laminate or splits.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright with a touch of wear to the top edge but no writing, tears or seam splits.
