Up for auction is a very good example of a 1965 Starline green swirl label recording of Please Please Me /From Me To You,by The Beatles.I have been told by a friend that the writing on these labels is referred to as east coast bold print - don't know for sure,but I'm sure you knowledgeable people will!On both sides of the record there are some VERY light scuffs - hard to call them scratches,because I can't even feel them,when I lightly slide my fingernail across them!I don't even know if they will show in the picture,but I want to let you know .I attempt to call any,and all flaws that I notice,to the bidder's attention.The record  sleeve,I believe,is the original one the record came in,when new.It had about 3 or 4 tears in it that were Scotch taped back together on the INSIDE,nothing on the outside,by the previous owner.It also has some noticeable wringles on the backside.The vinyl has exceptional shine for the age of this record.I don't think it was played much - must have spent most of it's life in the sleeve.Lastly,the label has some very light dirt(only noticeable when viewed in bright lite,on an angle),and a lite circled,in ink, # 26 on one side.No noticeable finger prints at all.I think that pretty much lets you know exactly,about the conditions of these 2 great pieces of R&R history! There is a low reserve on this record,but I think it is only fair for the condition it is in.Thank you for looking,and I hope the pictures are good enough to entice you to bid.Good luck!I would advise winning bidder to purchase insurance for shipping on this item.I will need a zip code to quote cost.
