Thanks for looking at this listing for the Beatles Please please me lp. For the purposes of my sales descriptions, and to avoid negative feedback, consider all discs to be very good+/-. Some will play/sound better than this. None will be mint.
If it's trashed I will say so!
Discs will be free from significant warps, and will sit flat on the turntable unless stated.. Labels will be free from graffiti/stickers/sticker residue unless stated.
Records have been play tested and will be free from jumps/sticks unless otherwise stated. Records have been cleaned whilst playing with a brush arm, but will usually benefit from further cleaning.

Please please me, Mono 3rd pressing, with extra 33 1/3rd. Probably the rarest PPM label of all. This was pressed around April 1963 and is a transition label between the Gold and the most common "4th pressing". Probably only available for a couple of weeks. This is far rarer than the Gold label. The 3rd pressing comes with and without the extra 33 1/3rd. Both are rare, but this is rarer.
I have another copy in my own collection and had trouble deciding which was the best one to keep. Believe me, I have handled countless copies of this lp over the past five years and this is only the third copy of this label I have seen.
The disc plays with a good strong sound. Listen on headphones critically and you will hear imperfections. However, I am playing this now on a Rega/Creek/Linn set-up and it delivers a very pleasing listen. I have played it a number of times now and given it a good clean. There may be a few light clicks(I haven't noticed anything so far this time around) and some run-on/off noise, but nothing that detracts from the overall pleasure of the sound. If you are looking for mint on this one, you may have a very long wait. Yes, this has been played many times and has the usual marks from handling and taking in/out of its sleeve, but it still produces a fine sound.
The labels are free from graffiti. Bears ZT tax code

Sadly, the bag is in far worse shape than its contents. I suspect that the bag and lp have been swapped out at some stage(perhaps by my source) as the record sounds better than the bag might suggest. So, the seams are split and have been repaired with sellotape, now gone but leaving a residue stain. The bag is otherwise complete, but a bit grubby. This is the correct, "E.J.Day-Gold" bag for this pressing, with diagonal cut corners. There is no graffiti on the sleeve.
