In this auction: 

• “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP by The Beatles

• This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.

• This is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.

• It was released in 1964.

• This is Version 2 of this LP with column back cover and includes the cuts “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” which replaced “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” that are on Version 1 of this LP. 

• This label variation is VJ 1062(2).MR5, because the LABEL has a BLACK BACKGROUND with SILVER OVAL LOGO and TEXT printed on it.

• BOTH COVER & VINYL ARE ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC! We know this because:

  1) The cover has George’s shadow and spine printing.

  2) The labels have “THE BEATLES” above the spindle hole.

• So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and NOT a counterfeit. 

• The COVER is in VG+ CONDITION. As you can see, the FRONT COVER SLICK is NICE and CLEAN with very light wear. There is light wear on the corners. The top and bottom seams and the seams and spine are nice and strong. There is very little flaking and NO splitting on the the seams and spine. The primarily white rear cover slick has very light aging/”foxing” and a couple light stains... To summarize, there are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO RING WEAR and NO WRITING on this cover.

• The VINYL is in VG- CONDITION. There are numerous surface hairlines/scuffs (a couple of them are “feel-able”) There are some surface spindle trails, on the black labels (with NO damage to the labels) 

If you check your Price Guide for the Beatles American Records, 6th Ed., you’ll find this LPto be ONE OF THE LESS COMMON LABEL VERSIONS OF THE VERSION 2 ISSUES based on the estimated value in the Price Guide.

 (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and 

Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades
