Well folks here's a Very 1st UK Pressing Let It Be Boxset...

This was the Beatles' 13th and final official album release. Released on the 8th of May 1970, it reached the number 1 slot just over two weeks later and stayed there for 3 weeks. It was also, sadly, to prompt the Beatles' last live performance: on top of the Apple Building in London on the 30th of January 1969.

An interesting little bit about this album is the cover was originally intended to be the cover which was used for the Beatles' compilation in 1973 for their 'Red' and 'Blue' album.

Even though recording for the album was finished by the end of May '69, it wasn't until March 1970, when Phil Spector was brought in, when it finally got released.

So, here follows the details of this one for sale:

CLEANED WITH Pro-Ject VCS MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner

The vinyl has many light marks to her....Nothing feelable at all.

Certainly not jumps or skips!

Aftre giving her a gentle professional vacuum clean, I popped her on my Focus One deck and listened to her all the way through...

On loud playback I noticed just some very faint and VERY occasional light and soft pops but these were few and far between-I did note there was a light revolutionary pop on 'One After 909' right at the start, for a small section, but nothing offensive.

The audio was perfectly clear and rich throughout, with just the occasional light pop-a pure pleasure to listen to...

LET IT BE shone out in all it's glory, being wonderfully clean and clear-Turn her up-I did :)

Certainly no jumps or sticks.

Original DARK GREEN 1st pressing labels. Lovely and clean to side 1, but a bit discoloured to side 2.

Just some light central hole wear to mention...and some very light spindle marks, visible when angled to the light-really absolutley nothing to worry about at all.

RED APPLE

It retains the glossy sheen to both the front and back laminate, but the edges have tape residue-quite a common thing back in the day-to protect the edges-which it has done , as there aren’t any splits to the seams.

The corners have some rubbing, with the top right corner having a 2cm split.

The spine is still legible, but has rubbing and some light sympathetic touch-ups..Difficult to see in the images provided as they have been done well.

The Apple to the back is a RED APPLE-showing it to be the very first pressing.

Not often at all you get to see these up for sale!

There are lines and crescents of spidering to the laminate. Please see the detailed images for yourselves.

Die-cut plain white inner. No writing...

It is a wonderful ORIGINAL example with "PATENT NO. 1,125,555" to the bottom left corner of one side.

As well as "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN"

Just light discolouration and some very light creasing.

Outer Cover:

VG-.

To the front, the pictures are lovely and clear-with a gorgeous sheen to the fully laminated outer cover. The corners are solid too, with just a small degree of storage wear, with 3 out of the 8 corners of the box outer having just very small splits of just around 5mm each and one with about a 3.5cm split....I am being very honest, open and critical here.

To the bottom is a 3cm split which extends across the edge and into the front image, as well as some light wear to the top edge-again: please see the detailed images provided as I have photographed these imperfections.

Other than the above listed, there are just 1 or two small lines of spidering to the front and back.

Remains a SOLID example!

Inner Tray:

**NOT A REPRODUCTION PIECE IN SIGHT**

It is the ORIGINAL all black inner tray, with the rounded corners and has survived incredibly well, with rubbing to corners and two small splits of 2cm to the top and bottom of the fold.

The card inner, where the book is housed is not present, but these can be picked up relatively cheaply.

She still keeps her tray-like shape proudly and houses the book and Lp very well to this day.

Hard to find this in any condition.

AGAIN-VERY CRITICAL HERE!

The Book:

It is the RARER book, with the ‘PASTE OVER’ credits to page 5. (I think it was mistakenly printed without credits, so these paste-overs were added).

Brilliantly shiny cover . It does have a crease to the bottom right corner and the front.

Gently rubbed corners only.

NO writing

Gloriously glossy pictures with all their original color.

There are some loose pages within this book.

Certainly one for the serious collector...It is far from perfect but would still make a great filler-with no skips or jumps to the 1st pressing slab of vinyl on my deck.
