The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most ICONIC and COLLECTIBLE Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK on August 5th 1966. EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER by Collectors around the World today, we are pleased to offer this BEAUTIFUL example.
Album Description/Condition:
This ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone HEAVYWEIGHT MONO Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in IMPRESSIVE Mint Minus condition. A VERY NICE set of UNDAMAGED record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, and nothing more than just one short light centre spindle line on each label, this is the **DR. ROBERT**record label variant.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-2.
Side 1 stampers: 8 TT and Side 2: 2 MT.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible to the centre of the side 1 record label.
BOTH sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT vinyl surfaces are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, very clean and well cared for preserved vinyl surfaces, it is difficult to see even a light surface hairline, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible, this vinyl disc is a beautiful flawless example, and in my professional opinion has not been played more than a couple of times since 1966.
Audio Quality:
ALL tracks play with a superb and POWERFUL Mono sound quality, NO clicks, NO skips, NO background crackle, a great listening experience.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL ‘Made in England’ lined Inner Bag, which is in RESPECTABLE Excellent condition, NO seam splits, and just light creasing.
…And is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, Front LAMINATED, FIRST ISSUE Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd Patents Pending sleeve, which is in superb condition, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three UNDAMAGED flip backs to the reverse.
The sleeve is in SUPERB Mint Minus condition, the Laminated front panel is CLEAN and FIRM - still retains its GLOSS SHINE, there is not even any record indentation visible, the reverse panel of the sleeve is in undamaged condition, showing a clean black, back panel, with none of the usual finger marks or fading, all three of the flipbacks are UNDAMAGED, the spine edge is UNDAMAGED and clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’, all edges and corners are undamaged. This is a beautifully cared for Revolver sleeve, the previous owner purchased it at the time of release and played the album just a couple of times, and carefully stored it away. A beautiful TOP CONDITION example of this ICONIC Beatles 1966 UK ORIGINAL Mono LP, Beatles albums in this condition rarely come up for sale, this one is without doubt one of the best examples to have come into stock for a long time.
