Description
Beatles - Ultra Rare 3rd pressing of Please Please Me
Rare 1st pressing cover with Angus McBean credit on far right of front cover
This pressing is Very Rare as it was pressed for only a few weeks.
Features:
1. PCM 1202 – 3rd pressing in MONO i.e. 1st yellow & black pressing after the Black & Gold pressings.
2. Matrix numbers XEX 421-1 (Side 1) & XEX 422-1 (Side 2).
3. Yellow & Black labels in very good condition. Name written lightly on side 2 next to the £ in the Parlophone logo + pencil name on side 1 – barely noticeable unless looked at under a strong light. They have the 'The Parlohone Co Ltd...' rims but not ‘Sold in the UK’ nor ‘First published’ texts as it should be for a genuine 3rd pressing.
4. Tax Code embossed ‘MT’ on Side 1.
5. Low stamper codes = 2/AG on Side 1 & 1/2/RT on Side 2
6. Large Mono Front Cover
7. Original E.J.Day 1st pressing flip back laminated cover with the Angus McBean credit on the far right of the front cover. These were used for the Black & Gold releases but residual stock was used for these very early 1st Yellow and Black pressings. Front cover has some spine wear, seam split along base, creasing + missing a little missing along the front near to the spine. Rear cover has 5 light ticks next to tracks.
8. Polylined inner sleeve is excellent.
9. The LP itself is a thick vinyl pressing in very good+ .... almost excellent condition that retains its gloss.
