Three terrific post-Beatles albums packed with rarities, unreleased tracks, and alternate versions; plus a special 12-inch edition of the group’s first single, “Love Me Do”/”P.S. I Love You”:
---- Beatles: 1982 anniversary 12-inch edition of the Beatles’ first single, “Love Me Do”/“P.S. I Love You” with special sticker affixed at Abbey Road Studios, London, in 1983 (see picture). The record includes both the rare, original version of “Love Me Do” with Ringo Starr on drums, and the more common version with studio session man Andy White on drums. The record is MINT; the jacket NM++++.
-- George Harrison: Ohnothimagen – A 2-LP set full of rare Harrison recordings, including songs from the film “Shanghai Surprise”, the four songs cut from his Somewhere In England album (“Flying Hour”, “Lay His Head”, “Sat Singing”, and “Tears of the World”) and a new version of “Save The World”; songs recorded on TV and radio appearances, the unreleased “Abandoned Love”, written by Bob Dylan, demos of “I Don’t Want To Do It”, “Sue Me Sue You Blues”, and “Dark Horse” and many more. Record is in MINT condition with one noticeable mark on side one that looks like a long scratch, but is not heard when playing the record. I checked this myself several times and heard only normal surface noise that I hear on any vinyl record. Jacket is NM.
-- Paul McCartney: Concerts for the People of Kampuchea – This 2-LP set was recorded during the December 29, 1979 concert at Hammersmith’s Odeon to benefit the people of Kampuchea. Paul and Wings' six songs (all of side-4 of the album) including “Got To Get You Into My Life”, “Every Night”, “Coming Up”, “Lucille”, “Let It Be”, and “Rockestra Theme”. Other acts on the album from the same concert include The Who, The Pretenders, Elvis Costello, Queen and others. Records are both mint; jacket is in VG+ condition with a notable slash in one corner, indicating that this copy was issued as a promo.
-- George Harrison: Porky’s Revenge! – Original 1985 movie soundtrack album includes George’s recording of “I Don’t Want To Do It”, plus performances by Dave Edmunds, Jeff Beck, Carl Perkins, Clarence Clemons, Willie Nelson and others. This one is STILL SEALED!
