Description
I am selling part of my vinyl collection which has been accumulated over the years. I am not a dealer but have realised that if I pass these records on they will not be appreciated for what they are.
So on offer here is a great copy of Revolver by The Beatles, released in Mono on the Parlophone record label in 1966 catalogue number PMC 7009
The single front laminated sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. is in at least Excellent condition, arguably better , I have conservatively graded this.
There is no ring or shelf wear, no splits rips or tears the spine is clean and all text visible
The unlaminated rear of the sleeve is clean and the black and white photo is stunning
The white flip backs are clean tight and undamaged
I cleaned this through my Okki Nokki Record Cleaning Machine before listening
The vinyl has retained its sheen and I played this all the way through on my high end system ( Michell Gyrodec SME arm,Naim 52 preamp and 135 power amps into Bowers and Wilkins 802 Nautilus speakers) at high volume to remind me of the grading and the mono sound was Excellent to Excellent plus.
There are a couple of pops between Eleanor Rigby and I’m Only Sleeping, and a few clicks between Dr Robert and I Want To Tell You caused by a very short fine hairline, otherwise the sound is clean and strong with no surface noice or skips and jumps
The Gramophone Co Ltd labels are clean with one spindle mark on each side , which are otherwise totally clean.
The K T tax code is clear on Side One
The matrix numbers are XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 - 3
Please note I use the Record Collector Grading system
This is an overall Excellent copy of this classic album
