Description
The Beatles 1966 album Revolver in Mono cat.no. PMC 7009 with the side 2 matrix of xex 606-1 indicating the remix 11 and slightly shorter but with extra piano version of Tomorrow Never Knows..
This is a 1st issue release on the Black and Yellow Parlophone label with Gramophone rims and sold in UK statement.
Now to the condition.
Both sides of the vinyl are visually very shiney BUT, on side 1 there are 5 surfaces scratches (they are not deep, probably made with a fingernail etc.) that run across all the tracks!!!! The whole side plays through without any jumps or repeats but does have some clicks and pops which are less than you would think to look at the surface.
The all important side 2 is in much better Nick but does have some smaller issues, namely 2 smaller marks and one scuff. The sound on this side is much better but does have a few clicks and pops but less than side 1 and with no jumps or repeats.
The labels are very nice with some spindle trails and a little wear around the side 2 spindle hole, please see the pics.
There is the KT tax code stamp on side 2.
Stampers are GD1 on side 1, matrix xex 605-2 and RG1 on side 2 with aforementioned xex 606-1.
The G&L3 flipback sleeve is in nice condition with just a little wear to the rear top right as pictured. The front laminated panel is ex-.
The correct inner sleeve for this release is plain white with the patent no.and made in Great Britain.
Priced accordingly given the condition of this rare Beatles LP.
