THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'

1966 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP

**NEAR MINT**

My listings this week include items from another major collection of UK Beatles records which I have been commissioned to sell.

For some of the highlights, please take a look at my 'About Me' page.

This superb example includes the withdrawn 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Know', available only on copies with the XEX 606-1 side 2 matrix.

This outstanding 1966 1st MONO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
This earliest of copies bears the initial 'Dr. Robert' spelling on the side 2 label.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Patents Applies For' pain white inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 605-1 & XEX 606-1
Stamper numbers: 6/AR & 1/GP
Disc weight: 150g

CONDITION

Disc

Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS

An immaculate pair with just a handful of light spindle trails to each centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS

This extremely impressive copy has been carefully & correctly stored away for the past 42 years and displays very little signs of visual wear.
Both surfaces are pristine and 'as new' upon careful inspection of both surfaces in strong daylight with their deep-gloss shines fully intact with no surface marks or wear to any area.
Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk-lamp reveals a sparkling rainbow gloss shines & a small number insignificant wispy paper hairlines (mostly on side 2), but no other blemishes at all.
Happily both sides of this fine disc lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

Very rarely do I offer this pressing for sale, simply because so few copies exist outside of private collections in this kind of condition.
This amazing sounding disc has received just a handful of careful plays on high-end equipment and the sound is warm and clear throughout with a deep, rich bass and clean & clear highs.
My careful playcheck at volume uncovered no evidence or traces of any type of groove or play wear on or between any one of these outstanding tracks.
Both run-ins and all bands play without a single click, tick, pop or other such interference or distraction.
If you're looking for a keeper, look no further.

Cover: NEAR MINT

This rare example is in spectacular condition and has been carefully stored in a clean non-smoking environment for the past 43 years.
The front panel is pristine white with no hint of yellowing and the high-gloss laminate sparkles 'as new' with just two small 'thumbnails' and a single moderate spine bend.
All four corners are perfectly clean & square with no bumps or bruising to any. Amazingly, both opening edges appear untouched.
The rear panel is perfectly clean & black where it should be with not a trace of any ringwear rubbing or any other wear.

All the distinctive wide flipbacks are perfect clean & fully intact with no wear or repairs to any.

Both seams are completely smooth and unstressed and the spine is fully laminated and worded.
You won't be disappointed.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with just the unavoidable light disc impression and some areas or toning but no tears, splits or writing

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ:

If you have a feedback score of less than 10, but please contact me before you place a bid, otherwise it will be removed.

Everybody should have a chance of winning, so please do not ask me for a 'Buy It Now' price. I will not end the auction early.

Thanks for looking and if you decide to bid, good luck!
