THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial August 1966 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

The side 2 label carries the early 'Dr. Robert' spelling & the 'KT' purchase tax code.

Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1

Stamper codes: 2/RT & 2/GO

Vinyl weight: 161g

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small front 'stereo' indicator, together with its original plain 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

A clean & undamaged pair with nothing more than a small number of well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only visible blemishes in strong daylight are a few harmless paper scuffs consistent with inner-sleeve removal but no scratches or any other significant blemishes. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a sparkling rainbow shine on this well looked-after disc.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT -

This copy has received a moderate amount of careful play and is without any major deterioration to the sound quality. My single careful play-check at volume detected some light background crackle on 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Here, there & Everywhere' on side 1 and on some of side 2's quieter passages - however, there are no heavy clicks, pops jumps, repeats or any other significant audible distractions and still much to enjoy.

Cover: EXCELLENT -

A strong and unworn example which apart from some moderate age-toning to the white areas is free from any significant or major faults. The front panel laminate is clean & totally unscratched with just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle towards the opening edge. There is light shelfwear bruising to the corners but no sign of any wear to either opening edge.

The rear panel is clean & black where it should be and free fro many storage rubbing, ringwear, writing or missing paper. The cover has been constructed slightly unevenly which accounts of the thinness of the upper flipback and the slightly mis-folded spine.

There is slight wear to the upper edge of the spine itself but both seams are smooth, unstressed and unsplit.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with some age-toming and the inevitable light disc impression but no writing, seam splits or tears.
