THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
This EXCELLENT true 1st UK STEREO pressing dates from initial August 1966 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

The side 2 label carries the early 'Dr. Robert' spelling & a 'KT' purchase tax code.

Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1

Stamper codes: 2/RH & 2/GL

Vinyl weight: 162g

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small front 'stereo' indicator.

Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

A perfectly clean & unworn set with just a handful of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: VERY GOOD +

Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their factory shine. Side 1 bears several light and short in length fingernail scuffs, but nothing I would call a scratch. Side 2 also bear two or three of these same marks but is without any further blemishes or wear. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp does little more than highlight these minor blemishes and adds only a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this heavy, high-quality pressing lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT

This copy has received very little play and my single careful play-check found no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion on any track. The only noticeable audible distractions which presented themselves were a few light ticks on 3 tracks: 'Eleanor Rigby', 'I'm Only Sleeping', & 'For No One'. There are certainly no heavy sounding marks or any repeats, skips or any other significant or major audible faults on this highly listenable, well looked-after early copy.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A fine strong & unworn example which has been carefully stored all its life within a clean, non-smoking environment and as a result retains a perfectly clean & white front panel. There are three 'thumbnail' wrinkles towards the front opening edge but the laminate itself is unscratched and unrubbed and retains all of its high-gloss finish.

All corners are perfectly square, sharp & unbumped and there is no wear whatsoever along either opening edge. The rear panel is clean & black where it should be and free from any storage rubbing, ringwear, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are clean & unworn.

The spine is completely unbent, uncrushed & fully worded with its factory pinched ends clearly visible.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with slight age-toning but no writing, seam splits or tears.
