Description
THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
This truly NEAR MINT UK 1966 2nd MONO pressing dates from late 1966 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text & have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd....' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
The side 2 label carries the 'Doctor Robert' spelling on track 4.
Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-3
Stamper codes: 6,10/RLR & 3/RHH
Disc weight: 158g
The disc is housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

An outstanding set with a small handful of faint spindle marks around each completely unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are factory-fresh and completely unmarked in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this extremely impressive disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This amazing sounding copy has received just a few careful plays on top-quality equipment and my single play-check at volume found no evidence whatsoever of any groove/play wear on any track or in either channel. In fact, apart from a hint of low-level vinyl background on the delicate introduction on 'Love You To', the sound quality is flawless and wonderful throughout. You will not be disappointed or need to upgrade.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A superb example of this rare cover which retains a clean and bright white front panel which is completely free from any 'thumbnail' creases or even a single spine bend.
All corners are sharp and strong with just a tiny bruise on the upper left corner when viewed from the rear. Both opening edges are clean and unworn. There is a touch of storage rubbing to the exposed rear panel but no writing, stains or missing paper.All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Slight age-toning and light storage wrinkes, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
