THE BEATLES - REVOLVER
A very nice copy of this increasingly rare 1966 UK very 1st pressing, MONO, PMC 7009 in overall very good+ condition with jet black glossy vinyl, impressive audio quality, nice original flip back outer sleeve, and excellent original inner sleeve
The dead wax matrix numbers are :
Side 1 XEX 605 - 2 with stampers "1" and "M" at 9 o'clock and 2.30 o'clock respectively
Side 2 XEX 606 - 1 with stampers "1" and "L" (each inverted) at 2.30 o'clock and 8.30 o'clock respectively
The overall appearance and condition of the heavy duty vinyl is a strong very good plus (VG+). The vinyl is nicely flat and in normal daylight comes across as excellent plus, with a gleaming jet black sheen and looking beautiful! With closer scrutiny under a bright light a few wispy hairlines and small light scuff marks do come into view on each side of the vinyl, however, but there is nothing here that is feelable or obviously below the surface and all of these minor blemishes appear to be superficial only (borne out by the overall excellent MONO audio quality - see below).
The labels are very good plus (VG+) overall. All text and the Parlophone logo remain perfectly intact including the all important "THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY..." and "SOLD IN THE U.K..." text which are indicative of original UK 1st pressings (along with the side two matrix 606-1). The "K" and "T" tax codes also sit proud on the side 1 label. If it wasn't for just a couple of very light spindle trails adjacent to the spindle hole then the side 2 label would be perfect; the side 1 label can only be graded as very good, however, due to a small area of light sticker residue and a name written in black felt tip which is just noticeable under a bright light
The front side laminated and much rarer Ernest J. Day outer sleeve is in very good+ condition. All edges remain very firm with no scuffing and that includes the spine where all text remains perfectly intact and legible. Each corner remains a near perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing, there is no laminate creasing or lifting apart from six trivial 1cm horizontal light laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the spine edge on the front side, the colouration, art work, and photos remain clear and vibrant on the front side, and all text and photos on the reverse side are in similarly excellent condition with no unwanted writing or doodles. The flip backs are in excellent, fully functional condition with just some light indentations next to the top edge of the top flipback. The only other blemishes are some light intermittent brown discolouration lines along the spine, which do not interfere with the spine text but are nevertheless noticeable upon closer inspection and I have tried to show these clearly in my photos. Not quite excellent but certainly a solid VG+ and remaining highly presentable.
Finally, the quality of the audio is overall excellent. No skips, jumps, repeats, nasty clicks or intrusive background crackle...just some occasional very, very light background crackle during a few of the quieter moments and the occasional very light background click (I counted less than five) purely down to dust in the grooves through decades of storage, but this is very trivial and does not impact upon the overall excellent audio quality, with great tone and clarity throughout even at higher volume and frequencies and every track making for a great listen. Both the appearance of the vinyl and excellent audio reproduction points to the supposition that this record has been sparingly played since it's release some 53 years ago.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting vinyl for more than 49 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960's and 70's origin. Most of my records were originally bought by myself for my own collection, but during the past 30 years I have embellished my collection by buying records from a variety of sources : friends/acquaintances, car boot sales, auctions, and even through putting up a "vinyl wanted" notice in my wife's shop! I am now retired and take great delight in being able to spend more time scouring the country and attending boot sales and auctions in the hope of unearthing more vinyl gems...I am 64 years of age now and am still discovering bands and music of the 60's and 70's that I have never come across before. Wonderful! Richard
My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no quibble" refund policy.
On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl thick cardboard crucifix style mailer along with at least two cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in separating the record from the outer sleeve in order to help prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.
For this item postage & packaging will be Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for : UK £5.00;
and Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for continental Europe £11, and Rest of the World £15.
I do discount post & packaging costs for multiple purchases. I do NOT profit from postage.
Good luck with your bidding! Richard
NOTE : My vinyl descriptions comply with the official Record Collector vinyl grading guidelines :

The records itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items, such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and /or creasing.
Very Good
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents are torn, stained and/or defaced
Poor
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents are badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
