This outstanding UK STEREO pressing dates from early/mid-1969 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and have 'The Gramophone Co..' worded rim texts.

There is no purchase tax code visible in the centre of either label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A superb clean & unworn set with just a handful of tiny faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine. There is just a single faint scuff mark on side 1 but no other visual blemishes whatsoever when viewed in strong daylight. Close and careful examination beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals little more than some faint wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal. Both sides of this very well looked-after disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This superb sounding copy has received minimal careful play on high-end equipment and the sound throughout is clean, clear and warm with no traces of any groove/playwear distortion anywhere. In fact, apart from a hint of light background on 'Eleanor Rigby' and three faint ticks in the band between tracks 1 & 2 on side1, there is nothing to fault on this highly enjoyable copy which will not disappoint.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A first class clean, and more importantly, white example which remains strong and undamaged with just a little storage but no significant or major faults throughout. The front panel retains all of its high-gloss laminate with just a few spine bends but no 'thumbnail' creases anywhere. Aside from minor bruising to the lower corners, the upper two and both opening edges are unworn and undamaged. The exposed rear panel is clean and black where it should be with no ringwear, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams and the spine are smooth, unstressed & unworn.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +

Flat & uncreased with a few faint age-related blemishes to the paper but no writing, tears or seam splits.
