Beatles Rubber Soul BLACK RAINBOW LABEL Record Club! VG Vinyl
Vinyl---Under normal room light, you can see that there are scuffs and scratches that are light and plentiful. Nothing that you can feel, though. Under a bare bulb, you can see many, many more light scratches, as well as some vinyl dulling. This LP looks like a very good candidate for a deep cleaning on a VPI machine. The vinyl looks like it will remoisturize nicely. Otherwise, please expect that it will play back with substantial surface noise. Remember, a VG grade does not mean bad. This is a respectable first copy, and possibly only copy. In 45 years of collecting, I have never even seen a second copy to compare, much less an upgrade. It’s time for someone else to take up that gauntlet.
LP Sleeve---Front and back covers have light wear to them. Back cover actually looks really nice! Ringo and Paul seem to be sharing a water stain on the front cover. The three black bars are present at the top corner. The RIAA number is the appropriate 16. Top seam is split just over three inches. Spine and bottom seam are heavily worn, but are intact.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.
