Description
Beatles Rubber Soul MONO US Pressing Capitol T2442 Clean RCA Contract Pressing
Original US 1965 MONO pressing of The Beatles "Rubber Soul" LP rare RCA Hollywood contract pressing in fantastic condition with a superb jacket , original inner sleeve and ultra glossy disc. This LP does not list "The Beatles" on the LP labels (as only 1st pressing Rubber Soul LP's). Later pressings listed "The Beatles" on the labels.
Note: This particular disc is what is refered to as a "contract pressing". Because Beatles records were in such high demand upon their initial releases back in the 60's, production of their records by Capitol Records often could not keep up with that demand. When that happened, Capitol had to contract out the pressing of some discs to another record company's pressing plant. This disc is completely authentic and was pressed by another record company's pressing plant with the complete authorization and approval of Capitol Records.

Grading:
Labels: (NM/NM): The labels look exceptionally clean. NO pen, NO ink. NO stickers.
Disc: (VG+/NM-): Exceptional looking disc is ultra glossy and looks only lightly played. There are NO deep scratches and NO scuffs. There are a few light hairlines on the A-side and the B-side looks even less wear than the A-side. The audio is near mint minus on both sides. It sounds clean with only very light static in between the tracks and a couple of light pops but that is all. There are NO skips, NO jumps, NO distortion, NO groove wear and NO loud pops. Even the quiet track "Michelle" plays clean". The disc is unwarped.
Jacket: (NM) Jacket is exceptional (has a #5 on the back indicating it as a west coast jacket). NO pen or ink marks, NO marker, NO stickers, NO seam splits. Edges, corners and spine are all excellent.
Inner Sleeve: (NM-): The inner sleeve is in near mint condition with a small split at the bottom.
