THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
This EXCELLENT UK crossover MONO pressing dates from early 1966 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-4
Stamper codes: 2/LH & 1/GPG
Vinyl weight: 165g
Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover, complete with rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve.

A superb clean & unworn pair with just a small handful of faint spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surface which are perfectly clean & totally unmarked in strong daylight. Even closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than some harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines on side 1 and a sparkling rainbow shine. Tough to fine this scarce variant in better condition.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Superb clean, warm & clear sound from this barely played copy which bears no trace of any groove/playwear distortion on any track . even 'Michelle'. My careful playcheck at volume detected just a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops, ticks or indeed any other audible faults or wear. A great copy to own if you'd like to compare cuttings.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A 1st class strong and firm example which retains a richly coloured, unscratched high-gloss front laminate where the only sign of wear are two small 'thumbnail' wrinkles on Ringo's face. There are tiny bruises to each corner and a hint of wear to the opening edges but no serious faults anywhere.
The exposed rear panel is blemish-free and apart from a small bend towards the lower right corner is free from any signs of wear.
Both seams & the spine are perfectly smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +
Crisp & fully intact with some general light handling/storage wear but no writing, seam splits or tears.
