This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial December 1965 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1
Stamper codes: 3/GA & 3/GA
Vinyl weight: 151g
Housed in front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover & original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright pair showing a moderate collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both sides of this well looked-after disc are perfectly clean & free from any scuffs, marks or scratches in strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a few harmless inner-sleeve storage marks & wispy paper hairlines but little else of any significance. Both sides of heavy, early pressing lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
A flawless sounding example of this early cut which bears no evidence of any groove/playwear, crackle or background interference on or between any track. Even the easily worn 'Michelle' plays cleanly and clearly with no break-up or distortion. My single careful play-check at volume detected no clicks, pops, ticks or any other such audible distraction. In fact, apart form a hint of background on the introduction to 'In My Life', there really is nothing to fault sound-wise on this earliest cutting.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A clean & firm example with a perfectly clean & unworn high-gloss front panel which bears just a single 'thumbnail' and a handful of spine wrinkles only.
There is slight bruising to the upper corners and a tiny shelfwear rub to the lower but no significant issues to either opening edge. The exposed rear panel is clean & bright with no blemishes or wear to any part.
All flipbacks are clean & fully intact and both seams and the spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with some gentle storage wrinkles but no writing, seam splits or tears.
