THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
1965 UK -5/-5 *MONO* PRESSING LP
Arguably the best sounding mono pressing of this LP, this fine 160g copy is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is present in the centre of either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A very clean & bright set with a collection of spindle trails - mostly to side 2 - but no other signs of wear.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & bright displaying where the only visual blemish in strong daylight is a single light fingernail scuff line on each side, but certainly nothing I would call a scratch. Close examination direclty beneath halogen light reveals some additional harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no other significant marks or wear. A lovely heavy copy which lies 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
This final mono cutting sounds smooth & dry and overall has is superior to the earlier, harsher -1 & -4 cuts. This particular copy has received a number of careful plays but I found no groove/play wear on any track. There were also no clicks, pops or even any break up or wear to the delicate and easily worn 'Michelle'. Apart from some light/normal background between tracks, there really is little to fault here.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A strong and heavy example with a clean & glossy front panel bearing a few small 'thumbnails' but no significant signs of wear. There is a little wear to the front opening edge, but all corners are free from any major bumps or bruises. The rear panel is clean & white overall with a hint of toning towards the opening edge but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are all fully intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD
Clean & flat with some unavoidable light storagewear creasing but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 transcription turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
