This outstanding UK 2nd stereo pressing dates from 1968 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3075

'NORWEGIAN WOOD' is misspelt as 'NORWEIGIAN WOOD' on the side 1 label.


Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3

Stamper codes: 2/RR & 2/GH

Vinyl weight: 139g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A superb set showing just 2/3 faint, well-aimed spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

 Factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing couple of wispy paper hairlines beneath halogen light.

Audio: MINT

Played less than a handful of times on high-end equipment, the audio is flawless & wonderful throughout.

A truly shop-fresh example which could have been bought yesterday, let alone nearly 50 years ago.
The richly coloured front panel retains an completely unscratched/unworn laminate, free of any wrinkles or rubbing.
Apart from a small bruise to the lower left corner, all are in great shape and both opening edges unworn.
The rear panel is pristine as are both seams and the spine.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Uncreased but with a small side split and the disc's catalogue number written in the lower right corner.
