Description
Rubber Soul 1st Press EX
LOUD CUT
This Lp was released on the 3rd of December 1965 and stayed at the number 1 position for a total of 9 weeks from Christmas that year....What a pressie to unwrap!
This is the rarer recording as these records were pulled from the shelf almost immediately after being dispatched...they were then taken and destroyed, replacing them with the 2nd pressing.

Vinyl: EX+. Lovely shine and weight. There are just a couple of incredibly light marks. I have just played the Lp through and the LOUD CUT affect is clearly auidible and sounds really RAW.. Only a tiny amount of background crackle, which I am sure will be either reduced or disappear alltogether with a good clean as if it's just the crackle of dust.
The LOUD CUT affect is clearly auidible and sounds really RAW.
Labels: EX+. There are some spindle marks, but only visible when angled to the light, but hardly any wear to the central hole. Raised "KT" tax code to side 2. No writing anywhere. "The Gramophone Co..." rim text as well as "Sold In U.K." text...very, VERY nice.
Cover: EX. No splits or writing anywhere! Only 2 or three tiny spidering areas to the gloriously glossy cover. Excellent, uncrushed spine. Tiny bumps to two of the corners. The back is SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!!!! THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN A LOOOOOONG TIME-----WHITE AND BRIGHT-----. Strong Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks all in almost perfect condition!
Inner: EX. ORIGINAL 'Use Emitex' inner. Only creasing and slight discoulouration due to age.
All in all THIS IS A COLLECTORS PIECE. Grab it with both hands for an upgrade.
I am afraid I am starting this at a price I think is very reasonable for such a rare collectors piece in great condition....I think it is worth considerably more.
A note on grading:
'Mint' means I have just stepped out of the record shop in the 60's, never opened nor played the record and kept it in fantasticaly dry and warm condtitons...unlikely isn't it!!
