BEATLES
 Sealed 1st Issue Abbey Road
Near Mint Condition
SR1S Spizer

Offered here is a rare and elusive first issue Abbey Road record factory sealed and in perfect brand new conditions It is like you just bought it brand new on Oct 1, 1969 the day Abbey Road was released in America. The cover even has the discounted price sticker of $5.99 still on it. This higher price raised a few eyebrows in the record industry in 1969. But Abbey Road went on to sell over 3 million copies in the first few months of release.
The record is sealed in the original factory shrinkwrap. The shrinkwrap  is perfectly tight from corner to corner. There is only one flaw and that is a 2inch split in the shrink wrap by Georges left foot. There are 2 breath holes on the front and 2 on the back cover. There is no ring wear on the cover and the four corners are perfectly square.
This first issue features the poster board constructed cover. Abbey Road was the first Beatles album in America packaged with print-on-board covers. These first issue covers involved the process of printing the cover image directly onto white poster board, which is then folded and glued to form the album cover. This album probably has the capitol logo perimeter print style record inside. Most of the first pressing have this. The back cover has the apple logo (Apple S0-383)
The first batch of Abbey Road covers do not list "Her Majesty" on the back cover track listing. The front cover has more of the cross walk at the bottom edge of the front cover, and included a portion of a square sewer beneath Ringo and Johns feet.
Perry Cox sold a very similar sealed Abbey Road on Nov. 5th 2008 for $737.00.
