THE COVER: 

Beautiful SCRANTON #2 Cover

The peel on this butcher is nothing short of beautiful!  The colors on this butcher are pure, sweet, and bold.   The pictures  allow you to see the incredible fine dot matrix texture of the original butcher slick that has been exposed.  The peel was done by Jim Hansen at Blue Jay Way Galleries - who is recognized as one of the world's leading butcher artists.  Jim is our exclusive butcher artist, and all of our butchers are done in beautiful detail by him!   He has been peeling butchers since 1971, and has made butcher restoration a true form of art!   

IF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THAT GEM STEREO BUTCHER - YOU HAVE FOUND IT! 

THIS stereo is a rare East Coast Scranton #2.  It is fabulous!  The front slick is so well done that you can actually feel the original Kilmory text dot matrix paper’s textured finish just like an original FIRST STATE BUTCHER!  This cover as a second state was originally covered with about 60% of the original shrinkwrap.  It was pretty ratty, otherwise if this had been 100% covered in shrink it would not have been peeled.  Beautiful and quite stunning purple banner and hue to the slick makes is quite different than the more common West Coast LA or JACKSONVILLE  grays. This cover is the best #2 Scranton East Coast purple cover I have ever had or offered.  You would be challenged to find one nicer.  I have been around butchers for many years, and this is just flat out my best Scranton ever.  Those of you who have watched my auctions know I offer quality - well this is top of the line. 

The lp is gorgeous NM label and NM- on the vinyl.  Original peeled trunk cover slick is included and nice with just one small spot that did not come off well.  Correct orange east coast inner sleeve in NM condition as well.  I cannot stress how difficult it is to find a complete NM package of cover, lp, and inner sleeve.  It really is one of the greater rarities to find them that way all together.

Spine is great and all print is there.  No splits on the spine or any of the seams.  The back is nice and clean with all of the print sharp and bold.  Couple of corners have minor wear and a tiny tap on the lower left corner - which is very common.   This is a dandy!  These stereo butchers  are getting EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO ACQUIRE!  Stereo butchers of this quality are near impossible to find!   This is only the 4th stereo I have had in the last 18 months.      NOT ONE SINGLE SPOT HAS BEEN TOUCHED UP ON THIS BUTCHER!  

I have really gotten picky about the butchers I select for peel.   If there is any touch up, we will inform the customer, and there is none on this butcher.   Just a beautiful cover!  

An original peeled trunk cover is included. Please note that these are very fragile and this one has a small spot in the middle.

THE LP IS A STUNNING FULL GLOSS NM- ON THE VINYL WITH NM RAINBOW LABELS.   THIS LP IS OUTSTANDING!  NM LPS FOR THIS TITLE MAY BE AS RARE AS NM COVERS!  THE LP  HAS BEEN CLEANED ON A VPI RECORD CLEANER .  ALSO INCLUDED IS AN  ORIGINAL SCRANTON ORANGE CAPITOL 66 INNER SLEEVE MAKING THIS A COMPLETE 1966 CAPITOL RECORDS YESTERDAY AND TODAY BUTCHER PACKAGE. 

Please be aware that every butcher is like a diamond - rarely are two ever alike in all the investment features they offer.  There are valuable butchers and cheap butchers.   RARELY have we ever had a perfect butcher.  Each cover has its strengths and weaknesses.  I strive to keep the latter at a minimum.  I can tell you butchers of this quality are hard to come by!  This is an outstanding offering.
