Description
Capitol ST 2080 Scarce 1968 Canadian Pressing of "The Beatles Second Album" on the Capitol rainbow label, pressed by RCA. Stereo banner on top front, split dot on the top front. "Litho In Canada" on the cover, but no printer's logo. Stereo notice on the bottom of the back cover with no "Also Available on Monophonic" notice.
With the alignment of the Capitol USA and Capitol of Canada Beatles' catalogue this compilation, which was originally the Beatles second U.S.A. release in 1964, was released for the first time in Canada in late 1967. As it was similar to the 1964 Canadian release "Long Tall Sally" it was not a big seller. This pressing in stereo not only sold in small numbers, but it was only available for 18 months before the label was changed to the lime green target label in early 1970 making this a hard to find edition.
