Labels
Excellent with NO mottling/peeling . Yellow/Black Parlophone with Sold in UK/ Gramophone .Co . text confirming the first issue release. Not heavily played and showing a light spindle trace only. K T tax code stands proud and clear on one side. Excellent examples of this huge classic release .
Album sleeve
Fully laminated and is excellent+ condition. Garrod & Lofthouse first issue gatefold and in stunning condition. Normally found with spinal peels and splits but this spinal column is virtually perfect. Running one’s finger along the spine ,confirms that there are no splits or peels at all and is very rare to find like this. The gatefold has not been handled very much ,I believe. Slight corner wear only with spine UNcrushed and flip backs on inner faces are near perfect. Beautiful thick lamination which crinkles on opening the gatefold with no laminate splits and reflects a fantastic glossy sheen . Front/reverse faces excellent with only one small crease on back cover. Opens to a glorious centrefold with coloration vivid and strong ,with a deep golden hue . This album sleeve is exemplary and will be hard pressed to locate a better example of this very famous album cover.
Cut outs insert
MINT!
Complete with red/white wavy inner fool’s sleeve in very good condition. Has small seam splits on all three sides.
Vinyl
Thick cut, heavyweight first pressing with wider grooves and a pleasure to view . Only a few extremely light surface marks only visible if angled against the light. No deep scratches or ugly blemishes and an excellent visual.
Audio
Monotone perspective is delivered in excellent style. Tones rise above any surface disturbance as ,any static detected ,remains at a distance and does little to affect the music presentation. Nothing much to fault with no repetitive clicks, ticks or pops. A fine example of this wonderful album and should not disappoint.
An excellent exhibit and will prove difficult to match. Not to be overlooked.
